Wall of Legends is a 3 dimensional display of America’s first generation of Car Kustomizers. These men created a sport and lifestyle all in their young teenage years; for all of us to enjoy and pass on. We have captured the life they have given to the sport through the casting of their hand in repose. Some hold lead; while another holds an apple, some hold paint guns while another pin stripes. The hand is mounted on a shelf/wall plaque and made of walnut. Atop the casted form is a picture of the kid builder, in most cases showing him doing what he loves; Kustomizing. Below the shelf is the engraved plaque stating name-surname/title and year of induction.
There will be 11 of these extraordinarily creative individuals on the Wall of Legends display.
- Bill “The Lead Slinger” Hines
- Dean “The Striper Kid” Jefferies
- Frank De Rosa Sr.
- Joe “Candy Apple Red” Bailon
- Dick “Lil Peep” Jackson
- Hershel “Jr.” Conway
- George “King of Kustomizers” Barris
- Gene Winfield
- Sam Foose
- Sam Barris
- Larry Watson
As the years go on we will be adding first generation builders from the Mid-West, South West and East Coast. So if you know one of these Legends please forward their contact information so we can include as many of them as possible.
Once the hands are casted; the concrete form is stored in a welded metal vault with the builders name and any information they want engraved on the outside. This is to ensure that the next civilization to walk and drive on this earth knows that these men, in our time, did this, and we loved them for it!

Friday 12pm-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm, Sunday 10am-7pm (Click here to view event map)
To commemorate West Coast Kustoms and the Renegades Car Club, each year Keen Entertainment will set the “Kustom” Memorial monument made of St. Louis Limestone and bronze at the front entry area to the Arena. Be on hand for ribbon cutting ceremonies with members of the Renegades C/C alongside Penny Pichette of WCK Friday June 24th to witness history in the making.
“Stroll down Avenue of Dreams to view the Technicolor Stars of the Car Show” in the Long Beach Arena. Across the Arena floor, the ALL Kustoms indoor portion will be spatially laid out for 360 degree viewing of these “One of a Kind” “pre-64″ American made Dream Kustoms. Alongside this in the lobby we have some of the Renegades Car Club memorabilia that includes Club Jackets and Wool Club banner from the 50’s in mint condition, and their historical leather bound bible in acrylic vault documenting the club activities from 1947 thru the early 60’s. It shows all the car shows and community affairs the club and other clubs of the region were involved in. This is from what we will extract a “NEW” historical presentation of the Renegades to illustrate just what they did for Kustoms and Hot Rods in Southern California each year. This year we have started the Dean Jefferies Award for Creative Excellence. This award is a casted acrylic sculpture of “The Striping Kid” right hand holding a stripers brush. It is mounted on a marble plate complete with his laser etched signature and engraved naming plaque. Dean has written the criteria and will be on hand to do the pick. The award comes with a $1000 cash purse.
Just outside the lobby is the Horsepower Corral. This area is for traditional hot rods and those wanting their Kustom viewed under the sun. The 20+ acres of grass outdoor Motorama is open to all American made vehicles “pre-69″.
Long Beach Motorama takes place along the waterfront of sunny Southern California on 20+ acres of grass in Rainbow Lagoon-Marina Green Park plus the Long Beach Arena. With sail boats and the “Historic” Queen Mary as our back drop; it’s the ultimate environment for you to kick back and soak in the SoCal lifestyle. A 3 minute walk will lead to the Aquarium of the Pacific as well as a myriad of adventures on the water with the water taxis to run you through the different parts of the Long Beach water system to the high speed craft that will run you out to Catalina Island for the day.
There will be a Live Entertainment stage located outside the Arena on the grass adjacent to the lake featuring varied sounds, the likes of 50’s Rock N Roll and Rockabilly to 60’s R&B-Blues & Jazz.
